They did illegally repossess a car that was not registered to me because I was given no title or license plates to prove that it was. So I sent them a counter settlement offer in an amount that I thought was fair without any punitive damages or fees or anything. A settlement letter was sent by them and it was not accepted no one would have accepted it. Please do not close this case out because it is not by any means even close to resolved what they offered me to resolve the matter was completely ridiculous and nobody in their right mind would have settled for it. My internet has been down and I live out in a rural area.

They are going back against their word in breach of contract, they have also committed the deceptive trade violation act. I have every conversation that I've had with Mid-Atlantic Finance recorded, the emails ,I have everything to prove my case. But if nothing is done I feel I will have no other choice with that I will also seek compensation. I don't want to have to seek out legal counsel. I reported this incident to the proper agencies both in ******* and in *****. Upon further investigation of the vehicle I found out it was still registered to a ************************* in ****** *****. I am a single grandmother raising my three grandchildren alone on a very tight budget that vehicle was our only means of transportation. Well it's been over aweek now still no car still no communication with them since then. I was also told my credit would be cleaned. I was told that my car would be returned to me and that a fresh contract would be drawn up and my payments would not be due until November.

When I did finally get a hold of somebody named **** who refused to give me his last name told me he was the repo manager. In my email I stated I refuse to pay for the car any longer because I could not prove it was mine nor could I drive it. I left several emails with Mid-Atlantic Finance about the situation and receive nothing back in return. Due to my frustration and the fact that I felt like I was paying for a car that I couldn't prove was mine nor could I drive because it had no plates or tags. The dealership went out of business and Mid-Atlantic has contract I have made several attempts to get someone to resolve this matter.
